Halloween Fun!

This year we did a lot for Halloween. Now that the kids have gotten older it has been a lot easier to do things with them. We carved pumpkins one night with Tyson and Jessica. The boys helped take out the strings and seeds and colored them with markers, then told us what kind of faces they wanted their pumpkins to have. I have pictures of Aiden and Kyler's pumpkin but they are in my other camera so I will have to post them later.
We made pumpkin shaped sugar cookies. I even made them dairy and wheat free and they turned out awesome! I was so excited because I have never made roll out sugar cookies before let alone dairy and wheat free ones. They were yummy and the boys loved helping me make them!
We took the boys to BOO at the Zoo in their costumes. It was fun, but we were only there for a half hour. I had to work at noon and because there were so many people it took us a half hour to get in the door! But the boys still had fun. Isn't Kyler cute in his girafe suit next to the girafe? He named his costume "Gus" I don't know where he got that from but that is what he called his costume. Aiden loved being spiderman. He kept pretending to do all these karate tricks to show how "strong like spiderman" he is.
Aiden had a halloween parade at pre-school, they decorated bags and then went trick-or-treating at the YMCA corporate offices. I was happy to see them bring home fruit snacks and craisens instead of candy. Because Aiden had his halloween party at preschool I took Kyler to Linder Farms with the Family Advocate program. We went on a hayride and then picked out a pumpkin. It was soooo cold but Kyler was a good sport and had a blast anyways.
Halloween night we went trick-or-treating. We kept having to tell Aiden to slow down because he kept running up a head of us to get to the next house. He was so excited to get candy and was mad I only let him have one piece at a time. When we got home Aiden wanted to give candy out to the trick-or-treaters, so I told him he could but he needed a bath first. Well just as he took his clothes off someone knocked on the door and he ran to get it, butt naked. I had to hurry and stop him and tell him he can't go to the door naked and he got sooo upset that he refused to take a bath because he didn't want to miss the trick-or-treaters.

Happy Halloween!
