First Day of School

I know this is a little bit late, but here is a picture of the kids on their first day of school. Aiden is loving going to school all day and loves riding the bus! I thought he would have a hard time being gone from 7:30 in the morning to 4:00 in the afternoon, but not at all! He is a little behind in learning how to read and write but is learning really fast. He knows all the letters of the alphabet and knows most of the letter sounds. He loves to learn and is having a blast at school.
Kyler started preschool 3 weeks after Aiden started school. I am so glad he is finally in preschool, makes my homework that much easier to get done! He goes to Head Start from 8:30 to noon but they feed him snack and a lunch. It has helped my grocery bill a lot! He is having a lot of fun. He gets really bummed he doesn't get to ride the bus in the morning with Aiden.
My school has been going really well this semester. I get up at about 4 am to take Darren to work then come home and do homework till the kids are awake. I get them off to school and then do homework till Kyler is done at preschool. Getting about 1 1/2 to 2 hours of homework time in before the kids wake up has been a huge help! They aren't very patient with me when I'm doing homework when their home. So, for now my day starts pretty early.
Darren's work is going really well, he is up for a promotion that should go through within the next month and with is comes a $3 an hour raise! Just in time for Christmas! Juanita is doing good, she is done with chemo and is working on getting back to health.
The first picture is of Kyler swimming in the river. We had a lot of fun doing that this summer. Aiden caught his first garter snake all by himself! He was so proud!
