Update

My longtime friend Ashley's graduation from nursing school! SO proud of her!
Watching a deer eat from a tree in the woods behind our house.

 Awwwww
 Fishing like a pro!
 I love this guy!
 Fishing at Winchester Lake!
So, I admit, I just haven't had the ambition to update. But here is what has been up with us lately.

Darren is back to work! He just went back to work after 4 months of medical leave. A whole month later than planned and he isn't even full time. The doctor wanted him to ease into work. So he started last week with only working 4 hours a day. Then increase it every week by 2 hours till full time. He is grateful for it because it is hard work and it helps him acclimate to the physical labor. The lack of him working has taken a huge hit on our bank account and credit cards, but oh well, you do what you have to do right? His arm is still healing and sore, but it is doing really good. He just recently got a car for a steal of a deal. I REALLY didn't want to be car less when he went back to work, or wake up so early in the morning to take him to work, so he bought a car for about $500 from a friend. Its a 1993 Eagle Talon, AWD, he loves it and it runs so that makes ALL of us VERY happy! He has really come to love fishing and takes any chance he gets to go.

I finished off school about a month ago, with an A in all 4 of my classes!!! So proud of myself, if I do say so myself. I was surprised because it was a very distracting semester with Kyler breaking his arm in the beginning of it and then Darren's surgery and a few other setbacks. But I pulled through! I am now taking the summer off to spend time with my kids and ENJOY life! I have decided to try all these little projects I've wanted to do; gardening, making quilts for the kids out of all their old shirts (literally I have kept EVERY one including onsies), making jewelry and headbands, and finally taking care of myself as far as nutrition and exercise. I am also excited to take the kids to the river, fishing, library reading group, t-ball and baseball, and soaking up the sun! I have also started to bake and cook more homemade things so as to get rid of those nasty preservatives and additives. I am SO excited for this summer!

Aiden has finished out Kindergarten with flying colors! He can read and write so well. I can't believe my little guy has turned into a kid. (Ok that may sound weird but moms out there should know what I mean!) He is now doing baseball and loving it! We are going to do swimming lessons with both kids this year also. He loves riding his bike, if only we could get him to do it without training wheels! We have taken the kids fishing this year and Aiden does amazing! He can cast and reel them in all by himself, he actually out-fishes Darren whenever we go! lol He acts like such a grown up sometimes it amazes me.

Kyler finished his last year of preschool and is now ready for Kindergarten! He is so excited but I know it will be a challenge because he gets scared in new situations. Once he gets used to it, I know he will do great. We are working together a lot this summer on learning to write and read sight words. He has started t-ball and had a rough first two games because it was loud and chaotic and wouldn't let go of my leg to go play! As he gets used to it though, I know he will be out there having fun all on his own. He is such a sweet guy, literally telling everyone like ten times a day that he loves them.
